UAN Registration and Activation Procedures
Individuals must have their UAN number, Member ID, Aadhaar number, or PAN in order to activate their UAN. The following is the method that workers must complete in order to activate their UAN:
Step 1: Employees must first connect to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2: The employee must then click on ‘Activate UAN.’
Step 3: The employee must input their UAN, Member ID, Aadhaar number, or PAN on the next page.
Step 4: The employee must then provide information such as his or her name, DOB, mobile phone number, email address, and captcha.
Step 5: After entering the aforementioned information, the employee must click on ‘Get Authorization Pin.’
Step 6: The employee will get the PIN on their registered cellphone number with the UAN.
Step 7: On the following screen, input the OTP, check the ‘I Agree’ disclaimer checkbox, then click ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN.’
Step 8: The employee will get password information by text message to the registered cellphone number.
Step 9: The employee must check in to the EPFO portal using their UAN, password, and captcha data. Employees can also modify the password that was sent to their registered cellphone number.
Step 10: If employees forget their password, they can reset it using the EPFO site. Employees will, however, need to know their UAN in order to reset their password.
Connect Your Aadhaar Number to Your UAN and the PF
Step 1: First, obtain the Umang App.
Step 2: Select ‘eKYC services.’
Step 4: Select the ‘Aadhaar Seeding Option.’
Step 5: Input your UAN.
Step 6: Obtain the OTP.
Step 7: Input your Aadhaar card number.
Step 8: You will receive another OTP on your mobile device.
Step 9: Your UAN will be connected to your Aadhaar.
OTP Verification on EPFO e-KYC Portal
Step 1: Access the EPFO Portal.
Step 2: Select ‘For workers.’
Step 3: Click the ‘Link UAN Aadhaar’ button.
Step 4: Input your UAN and cell phone number.
Step 5: An OTP will be sent to your cell phone.
Step 6: Enter your Aadhaar information.
Step 7: Select an Aadhaar Verification Method.
Step 8: An OTP will be sent to your cell phone.
Step 9: Your UAN will be connected to your Aadhaar.
Step 1: Access the EPFO Unified Portal at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/.
Step 2: Select the Manage Tab.
Step 3: Choose ‘KYC.’

Step 5: Provide your Aadhaar number and name.
Step 6: Select Save.
Step 7: The status will be ‘Pending KYC,’ and it will be accepted.
